Hi everyone. We are closed this weekend (Nov 12th) due to the Auckland Teams Arena chess tournament. We will resume Nov 19th.

Due to the Merv Morrison Memorial running on Oct 22nd, we will be starting a week later on Oct 29th. I will update the Term 4 schedule here: https://www.aucklandchess.nz/saturday-night-junior-chess/

We are closed this week for Saturday Junior Night, as the Auckland Teams Arena September tournament is happening at our venue. We will resume Oct 1st for our final event this term. Then, we will start Oct 22nd in Term 4.

The Saturday Junior Night has been cancelled today, due to the organiser’s illness. We hope to resume next week Sep 10. The schedule has been updated.

Just a heads up, we’ll be starting our weekly junior club night on Saturdays at 5pm-6pm (new schedule), with registration at 5pm, and games to start by 5:05pm.

June 18th – Closed, Auckland Teams Arena
June 25th – Rapid Play (3 rounds)
July 2nd – Rapid Play (3 rounds)
July 9th – Blitz Night (5-6 rounds)

As the ACC May Weekender goes ahead this weekend on May 21-22, we are unable to run our evening for this week. We will continue next week on May 28.

Our Saturday Night Junior Chess is starting again this Saturday, 14th May. Our weekly event is run every Saturdays at 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Please note that on the 21st May (next Saturday) we are closed due to the ACC May Weekender tournament, and we will be back the following Saturday on the 28th May.

The Saturday Junior Night Chess will be on break for 2 sessions, July 10th and 17th. We will resume on the 24th July, just before Term 3 starts. We can’t do July 10th (tomorrow) because of the George Trundle tournament.
