The ACC Junior Club is for young players (aged 14 and under) who are interested in playing chess. The games are fast and exciting. There’s a lecture included, so kids would do a bit of learning too. We start our sessions during each school term on Saturdays at 5:00PM-6:15PM usually beginning with a short tutorial (about 15-20mins) followed by practice.
Our Junior Club is run by FIDE Candidate Master & FIDE Instructor Alex Huang. Alex has taught chess for more than 16 years. FIDE stands for World Chess Federation (Fédération Internationale des Échecs).

*Due to chess events held at our chess centre, some events are run via online only. Instructions for our online Zoom sessions will be sent via email to our registered members prior to that day (please register via Trybooking). Parking: For our club members/club visitors, we have a lot of parking available inside our parking area. Please avoid parking on our streets when you see a pink sticker placed on signs on the side of the road (the whole road cannot be parked), it means an event is happening at Eden Park. When there is an event happening at Eden Park, the parking on our road and nearby roads are for Residents Only. Auckland Transport may issue a fine of $60-$200 for cars parked on a road that has a pink sticker on the sign.
